01Is timber decking right for my garden?

Timber gives a natural finish and can be adapted around awkward levels, steps, seating and balustrades. It does need routine cleaning and treatment, so we will also point you to our separate composite decking service if low maintenance is the main priority.

02Can you build decking on a sloping garden?

Often, yes. A raised structure can create a useful level area, subject to access, foundations, height and any planning considerations.

03How should timber decking be maintained?

Keep the deck clean, clear leaves from gaps and follow the treatment guidance for the timber supplied. The amount of maintenance depends on exposure, foot traffic and the finish you choose.

04How much does decking installation cost in Bristol?

Deck size, board material, subframe, height, foundations, steps, balustrades and access all affect the installed price. We quote the structure and finishing details together after measuring the garden.

05Does a new deck need drainage and ventilation?

Yes. Water needs a route away from the house and subframe, and the construction needs suitable airflow. We plan the build-up, spacing and surrounding levels before boards are fitted.
